…just Playful events

…just Playful events is Mary Joy and Bill Murphy. They have a depth of experience in event planning and craft art shows. Christmas in the Village 2025 is the first event from their new company.

Mary Joy is an abstract artist and textile printer and the owner of Mary Joy’s Art Studio. Previously, she was the fundraising and event coordinator at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, the marketing coordinator at the West Side Bazaar, and was the cofounder and CEO of Vito’s Gourmet Market.

Bill is a software engineer and web developer. He also does public relations, marketing, and sales for Mary Joy’s creations.

Together, they created and ran the Fall Harvest Craft Art Festival for three years at St. John’s-Grace Episcopal Church.

Christmas in the Village 2025

Christmas in the Village 2025 was a three-day event on Thanksgiving Weekend at the Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church. It featured over 30 craft art vendors, live jazz music by George Caldwell and Sabu Adeyola, and visits from Santa Claus, and family activities. It was a lovely event, even if the attendance wasn't what we hoped it would be.
